| Basically, a dredge is a bottom-towed gear and consists of a metal frame with a blade or teeth, to dig into the sediment and extract the shelled molluscs, and a mesh bag to collect the catch. Whereas hand dredging is observed on some intertidal beds (Donax trunculus in France), the use of dredge generally needs a fishing boat. | After a reminder on the program SYSCOLAG (Coastal and Lagoons Systems), of the regulatory and legislative context in territorial economic planning on the coast, we describe the structure of the developed methodological tool. We clarify then the method according to its three main trunk roads: effects of the activities and uses on the economy of the territory, the effects of the activities and uses on the natural environment and the living environment, the evaluation of the interactions between activities and uses.
